About
The University of Cambridge is a public collegiate research university in Cambridge, England, and one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in the world. Its engineering, computer science, and materials science departments, along with its Cavendish Laboratory and innovation ecosystem, have produced a significant stream of robotics, AI, and advanced battery spin-outs, including Nyobolt, the ultra-fast charging battery company partnering with Agility Robotics on the Digit 5 humanoid. The university acts as a major research and talent pipeline for the UK and European robotics industry rather than a commercial robot manufacturer.
