Strategic Capabilities Office

About

The Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) is a U.S. Department of Defense organization established to rapidly repurpose and adapt existing military systems and commercial technologies for new operational uses. It focuses on fielding near-term capability improvements, including autonomous and unmanned systems, by bridging advanced technology developers with warfighting needs. As a government office rather than a commercial manufacturer, it acts as an accelerator and integrator within the defense innovation ecosystem.
