Neufangled Robotics

About

Neufangled Robotics develops consumer-oriented cable-driven robots, led by Stringman, a room-spanning system that uses perimeter-anchored cables to move a lightweight end effector through three-dimensional space and pick up clutter from the floor. Stringman is priced at $795 and is available to order, targeting home tidying at a fraction of the cost of conventional mobile or industrial robots. The company occupies a niche in the robotics industry with its cable-robot form factor, which IEEE Spectrum described as novel and underrated.
