About
The Global Robotics Institute is a robotic surgery center at AdventHealth Celebration in Florida, founded and led as medical director by Dr. Vipul Patel. It focuses on advancing robot-assisted surgical techniques, clinical training, and research, and has recently drawn attention for telesurgery procedures in which a surgeon operated from one Florida hospital on a patient in another roughly 35 miles away. The institute is a clinical and academic user of surgical robotic platforms rather than a robot manufacturer.
