About
Gates Frontier is the investment vehicle associated with Bill Gates, which makes venture and growth-stage investments in technology companies. In the robotics and autonomy sector, it is known as a backer of Echodyne, the Kirkland, Washington maker of metamaterial electronically scanned array radars used on small drones, counter-drone systems and border surveillance. It operates as an investor rather than a robotics developer, and details of its team and portfolio are not fully public.
